Macaroons, Sun and Eiffel Tower

I have recently been on a trip to Paris for a week with the bf for my birthday.
We stayed in a lovely little town just outside of Paris called Malakoff which is on  line 13 Plateau de Vanves on the Metro.

It was absolutely lovely to get some time to ourselves without all the stresses of results and life and just enjoy the time we had looking at all the sights of Paris.
We tried to space out all the different things over the days by doing only two things during the day so we didn't get so tired out or stressed trying to navigate through the metro, especially with the rail strike happening and some stations being closed for refurbishment.

We went to Tour Montparnasse and saw the incredible view from the top. You can literally see for miles on a clear day. Definitely a must see if you can't get up the Eiffel Tower. We bought tickets before we went but it is only 11,50 € for students which seemed a great price for the view and a picture if we wanted it (have to pay 20 or more euros if you wanted to keep the photo).
We saw the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe, which are both free if you are part of the EU countries and I think between the ages of 18-25 which was great for us, and also saw the outside of The Moulin Rouge and Notre Dame.

Then we went to the Eiffel tower which we took lots of pictures of and underneath it. However our trip was cut short from the Eiffel tower as a riot broke out, due to the rail strikes, and we heard a few bangs so we hurried off in the opposite direction of them and took a very quick walk to the nearest metro station and went back to our hotel.

With it being a couples holiday we couldn't miss seeing Pont des Arts ( the love lock bridge). We saw there were alot of locks and one of the bridge railings had been replaced due to the weight of it all. We did put a lock on the bridge, although we did forget the key, but when we got back to the hotel I researched the bridge and in a couple of news articles it said that the locks could be banned which will make it safer, but it may take away some of the essense of Paris, but also it said that instead of locks people could use ribbons which for one is alot lighter than locks and so it would pose less of a hazard for the railings of the bridge.

Overall we had a fantastic time in Paris and would love to go again, mainly to go up the Eiffel tower and see the Centre du Pompidou. And to anyone thinking of going to Paris, go it is amazing to just experience everything and see the pretty architecture that they have across so many of their buildings.

Have a great holidays

p.s. Here are some of my favourite pictures that I took.
