Friday Findings| Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

I recently went out and bought the Bourjois Magic Nail polish remover, from Boots (can also be found in most drugstores). I have been meaning to buy it for a while, especially as it has been highly recommended by soo many people.

There are 2 coloured pots to choose from the Pink and the Purple. The Pink is just for hand nails, whereas the Purple is for hands and feet.

I absolutely love this little magical pot, as it means you don't have to carry around cotton pads, and a separate nail varnish remover bottle. It's all in one, and you know that nasty alcohol smell you can get from cleaning your nails, well that is gone as it has its own perfume, Vanilla and red fruits. It smells divine. There is also no mess as, the pads are inside the bottle, and have no need to come out.

I do have to say if you are wearing a few layers of nail varnish it does a little bit longer than one second to get off, but if you just give it a few more turns it comes off nicely. It is acetone-free, so is gentle on your fingers and nails. Here are some before and after shots of the nail varnish.

There is no nail varnish left on the nail, and is completely dry as soon as you take it out of the pot. The nail also feels nourished, and moisturised. I will definitely be buying more of this product, and taking it with me on my trips away.

Friday Findings| Dinner Out

This Wednesday I went out to dinner with my lovely Ben, and we decided to go to Giraffe which I have really wanted to go to for a while. The atmosphere was amazing, nice, quiet, and cosy. The staff were very friendly, and kind.

We both ordered our drinks first, I had an elderflower and apple cooler, which definitely was refreshing, and the nicest drink I have had in a while. Ben had a Brooklyn New York Lager.

Then we ordered our mains which were delicious. I had the Thai duck stir fry which was full of vegetables, and lots of meat. Ben had the 'Giraffe' burger, which he loved, he got sweet potato fries which tasted very nice, just sweeter than normal fries.

We then had pudding, and although there wasn't a lot of choice for me, being lactose intolerant, I found it difficult to find something to have, however I did get the fruit sorbet which was a mango sorbet with fruit salad containing apple, melon, and strawberries. Ben had the Banana waffle split which he very much enjoyed.

I would definitely recommend going to Giraffe to anyone, and I will definitely be going back there again.

Favourite Bloggers

I love reading blog posts, especially beauty blogs. I like coming across new bloggers, and I understand the time, and effort they out into their posts, and the hours it takes to write, and maybe rewrite the post to make it perfect for you lovely readers.

However I do have my absolute favourites, who I love to just read every post, and have helped me along my little blogging journey.

So to start things off I would like to introduce you to Milkbubbletea, an amazing blog by Becky who has a lifestyle blog, who has a little dachshund names Oscar, and posts about beauty, lush, reviews and wishlists. She updates 2-3 days a week, and each post is a delight to read.

The next blog is Words From Wilmington, by Rebecca Coulter, she previously had a blog, so is an old hand at blogging but this is her new blog, so go check it out. Like me she is a christian, and a university student, so i definitely know the struggles of writing a blog and doing work at the same time.

Now I know everyone loves her blog but Zoella, is definitely my most favourite. she posts about beauty, fashion , life and gives great advice. She has a YouTube channel, and like her posts I love each, and every video. This blog has given me great inspiration, and help when I have needed it.

Then there is Antonella, by Antonella, she is 16 years old, and she write about fashion, beauty, life and all things nice. She gives me inspiration for what products to buy, and try. Also gives me new ideas for outfits, and beauty things.

Finally Lola Emily, a 15 year old girl who lives in London. She writes about beauty, lifestyle and fashion. Talking about her beauty, and fashion favourites, giving reviews about the products she likes. She also writes about her day to day life, and any travels she has. I highly recommend this blog.

There are definitely many more blogs which I love to read regularly, but then this post would be very long.  Let me know who you like to read, and any new bloggers out there that people should be reading.

Friday Findings| Warm Smart Casual

I would never consider myself a trendsetter, and actually with the trends, but I love piecing things together. So here is today's Friday Finding's post.
With winter coming to a close and spring soon on its way, it can still get a bit chilly. This outfit is both warm, and smart so you can either wear it on a night out, maybe with a coat, or out in the day. With the black and white it can most likely be used for work, especially with the gold jewellery and red lipstick.

Last Week| Trip to London

This last week I was spoilt rotten as Ben and I went on our little anniversary trip to London to see Les Miserables.

Dinner out at O'Neils
O'Neils is an Irish Pub chain which serves a diner type menu with chicken, burgers and hot dogs. Ben went for the chorizo and halloumi burger, and I had the spinach and lentil burger. They were both really nice, served with skinny fries, and as we were both quite hungry, they were eaten within minutes. The atmosphere at O'Neils, was that of a normal pub, it was busy, and a little noisy but with it being in the heart of London, I expected nothing else.

The Show
Oh my days it was amazing. I have been wanting to see Les Miserables at the theatre for a very long time, and as soon as the music started I started to cry because I was so happy to be there. The acting was incredible, and the singing immense. I missed watching things at the theatre, and this made me happy to be back. I loved the way Javert's suicide was done, with the lighting, and the movements that were conveyed on the stage, to show him rolling on the river bed. I was surprised that they included Gavroche's death, as in some shows they don't include it. Overall I loved the show, and I am so grateful that I have seen it. Especially as I got to see it when Carrie Hope Fletcher was playing Eponine. She did an amazing job, and her death scene definitely turned on the waterworks. I really want to see it again, it was that good.

Hotel
We stayed in a Premier Inn at Hammersmith which was very nice, and cosy. They have a 24 hour check in service, so it was great for us so we could just collect our keys, and be off to bed. The room was quite big with a double bed in the centre, and a large window which looked out over the back, where the car park was.

Breakfast In Leicester Square
In Leicester Square there is an amazing restaurant called Muriel's Kitchen, and oh my days I am in love with it. They say a picture says 1000 words, so here are the pictures I took.

The food was delicious, I had the blueberry pancakes, and Ben had the traditional breakfast. For drinks I had the Vitamin hug juice, full of all the lovely goodness, of carrots, oranges and ginger, and Ben had the hot chocolate. It is such a cute place to visit, they have seats that are swings that hang from the ceiling.

The trip to London was amazing. I really had a great time, and I will definitely be going back to Muriel's Kitchen.

Where do you enjoy going to?

New look, New ideas

As you can probably see there have been some changes on the look of That's Life, and that is mainly down to trying to make it look and feel better.
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been scrolling down this blog reading each post, and to everyone who has subscribed to me on bloglovin (the small amount there is). I really appreciate every single one of you who continually keeps reading.

Now on to my main point today which is a new idea for this blog, and that is to do a weekly segment on a Friday, like so many other bloggers, but this time changing it up by interchanging what I write. So one week I will do a beauty post, the next a fashion and the next a life post. This way you are all guaranteed a post each week.

Hope you are all having a fantastic January. Thank you all so much for reading.

Staying Positive

Being positive can be hard, staying positive can be even harder. Life throws a lot of curved balls, you can be right in the middle of when it does.

Staying positive can be easier than you think. My top tips would definitely be to:

  • Write done everything positive about your day, compliments, people who made you smile, or things that made you smile.
  • Think of one positive thing you want to do in the day, and do it!
  • Don't let the negative get in your way. Accept that it's happening, and carry on.
  • Talk to people. Don't be secluded, socialise with one person a day. Whether it be a phone call, going out for lunch or saying hi. Talking to someone in the day can really help. ( They might even make you smile)
  • Look at positive imagery. You know the ones i'm talking about, like 'hang in there' and its a picture of a cat. It can help you build goals, and keep you proactive.
  • Just take a walk. Having some fresh air can give you a new outlook on a situation. Clearing your mind, and helping you think of other things, like the scenery or ducks in a pond. It helps me greatly.

Hope it helps. Comment below on how you stay positive.
