It's The Little Things

I often just go through life, and not pay attention to many things, or just be so concentrated on one thing that I forget anything else.

However it is nice to just stop and look at the little things that make up your life, and just have a nice day seeing everything that you usually miss when you are just soo busy.

I was at Ben's this week when we were looking out the window, and we saw a cute black and white cat, which is usually around the neighbourhood, meowing at the window, so we opened the window, and stroked it. It was only after the cat started to walk off, I started to think about my old cat, and how much I missed her.

It was the little things that I missed; the meowing at the door, the smell of cat. I appreciate the time I had with my cat, and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Sometimes it's just nice to take a step back, and appreciate the little things that keep us happy.

What little things make you happy ?

Fridays Findings| Favourite Make up

This week it's about make up, and although I don't wear much, I still have my favourites.

Starting with the eyes, as many of you will be able to tell, if you have read any of my favourites, this will come as no surprise... Natural collection mascara. I swear by it. It gives a natural look on the lashes making them noticeable without sticking them together.

Next up is the Rimmel Tri smokey eye in brown. I love wearing it because  it shows well on the eyes, and gives a lovely smokey detail. The colour is nice and smooth and goes well on to the eyeslids as well as easily blended in.

Then there is Collection 'Mango tango' lipstick ,14, I find this a really lovely colour that is bright and matches most of my outfits. It is a nice colour that blends well into my lips, and lasts so you don't need to keep applying it.

Finally there is Kiko foundation in warm beige 15, now I have struggled to find a good foundation, that doesn't make me look orange and gives a good coverage. I found this a really good foundation that covers wells and gives a dewy finish. Along with collection concealer in Natural 2. This is great under my eyes and on the crucial places where I need it.

Hope you enjoyed this weeks post. What are your favourite makeup essentials ?

Friday Findings| Day In the Life

Welcome to a day in the life of a University student, and yes most of my week is filled with 9am lectures, a lot work. However I am here to tell you it isn't all like that, and give you a glimpse into a day of my life.

Well firstly I wake up at 7:00 bright and early not really wanting to get out of bed. Then it is a walk downstairs to get breakfast which ranges from toast to cereal. I then get dressed very quickly and at 8:20 it's a 20 minute walk to Uni.

When I get to Uni I have to find my room, and a seat then the lectures begin. Now most of my lectures this semester finish at 11 or 12 so I have the rest of the day to do work, and so other bits and pieces. Plus if I don't have anything extra to do that day I may just spend sometime collecting my thoughts, and relaxing.

Then it is lunchtime, where I will have a sandwich or pasta to keep me going through the rest of the day.

Now this is when things on the productive side goes downhill slightly, as I am definitely one for putting off actual work for doing household jobs, like tidying or hoovering.

However I do aim to at least do an hours work on something, whether that be researching for an essay or planning it out so I know what I want/ need to say.

Then it is dinner time, where I try and find something to eat. Like many students, I will go for something simple, like a stir fry or a curry. Then it's back upstairs to read through blogs, write a blog post for this week, or simple just relax watching TV.

On days where I have an early morning I will usually go to bed at 10, however its more like 11  when i actually get to sleep.

Hope you have enjoyed this weeks post, and have a great weekend!
