Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015

2014 has been epic, and full of lots of wonders, which I have enjoyed immensely. Like every year there have been ups, and downs, but looking on today in reflection there have been amazing memories. I am so excited to create more.

This year I have been punting, made lots of Easter treats, went to Winter wonderland, said goodbye to my cat, moved back to Cambridge, went on lots of walks and finally drank quite a lot of hot chocolate.

Today is New Years Eve, so you know what that means, everyone is finding new years resolutions that are usually to stop eating junk food, or to get fitter. I think it's time that I create feasible new years resolutions for myself.

Number 1: To take more pictures of memories, and days out so I can look back on them later, and remember what I did that day.

Number 2: To read more of my books that are still in my room.

Number 3: To spend more time on University work, and concentrate more on what I want to do. (Organisation is much needed here)

Number 4: To lessen the amount of sugar I am still eating, this isn't for weight sake it is to keep my teeth healthier. 4 fillings this year is not something I want to continue.

Number 5: To just be happy, and appreciate the time I have when I'm not working, and use it wisely.

Number 6: To not to worry, and let small things get me down.

Number 7: To save up money, and have goals to what I want to save.

I hope you all have an amazing New Year, and 2015 is a great one for us all.

Instagram Diary

This year has been amazing, and the most roller coaster of them all. There have been ups and down, but mainly ups.
These six photos all from my instagram (@hannahevickers) definitely are my favourites:

Top Left, was taken on a colder rainy day where my boots were just the comfiest things I could find to walk Penny the dog.

Top right, was taken on the coach to Donna Nook, where I went with my university course to see, and count seals. We were stood in the cold for about an hour when it decided to rain, so we all had to shelter inside a small metal building, the most fun I had though was on the coach ride to Donna Nook where it was just a stick on some music moment.

Middle left, is of my amazing Ben, who this year has been the biggest rock and constant. He really has been amazing, and I am so happy to be with him, mainly because no one is madder than us.

Middle Right, is of a ride at Winter Wonderland where Ben and I went about 3 weeks ago to have a look around. It was quite chilly but we kept warm.

Bottom Left, is of both Ben and I, on a walk through the Cemetery close to where Ben lives. Taking selfies and trying not to fall over was the main thing that happened on that walk as well as trying to loose one another, and swinging me around.

Bottom Right, is of my very comfy joggers which I kept on most of summer which means many pj days, very relaxing and much needed.

Christmas Holidays

http://weheartit.com/entry/151925005/search?context_type=search&context_user=muchbandsuchcool&query=christmas+tree

Christmas is less than a week away, and I am so excited.

Many people in the UK head home for the holidays, especially if you are at uni.
However, what if you can't get home for the holidays, or like me you have to work over the holidays? What then do you do?
Well, this year I will be having this question answered.

Firstly I am going to make my room as festive as possible, by using my LED lights over my board, and cracking out my Christmas tree ornament diffuser, which smells of cinnamon and orange. Mmmm.... The place that I'm living in now doesn't allow the use of candles so sadly I can't use them this year.

Due to the fact I have to stay in Cambridge to work over the holidays I can't go and spend it with my family or go see them over the 2 week school Christmas break. However because I am doing more shifts at work it means I will get more money to save up for my impending trips.

The only thing about not spending the holidays with my family is that I will miss the nice family time and the fun that you get to have over Christmas. My way around this is to have some really nice food in the house so I have something nice to enjoy. I have already purchased my first Christmas pudding, and some nice Christmas biscuits which I will enjoy on my days off where I will be watching all the nice TV on IPlayer, and all the movies that I enjoy. Elf will definitely be watched, as well as the Doctor Who special.

This year I am going to be spending Christmas day with Ben and his family, so it's a late train for me on Christmas eve, and a very early start on boxing day where I have to start work at 10am.

Until next time...

Merry Christmas

Winter Favourites

Winter is coming :)
http://weheartit.com/entry/150563358/search?context_type=search&context_user=agi_0402&page=3&query=Winter+

Winter is here, and instead of doing a November or December favourites, I have decided to collate them both together and do a winter favourites. There are amazing things that I absolutely love about winter, and some that I just enjoy all year round but usually have them or do them more in winter.

Food and Drink

  • Mint Hot chocolate- I really love hot chocolate and with the added mint, it becomes really refreshing and so snuggly. If drinks can be snuggly then this one definitely would be. I usually get this one from Starbucks.
  • Christmas Food- Puddings, cakes and mince pies. I absolutely love to just gorge on these foods, all through Christmas time and winter. Admittedly I have already had a Christmas Pudding, and quite a few mince pies. Yes I know it isn't even Christmas yet, its only the start of December.
Media and Technology
  • I absolutely love sitting on the sofa at home, and snuggling up watching movies, and Christmas TV. My favourite Christmas movie has to be Elf, mainly because it is just is so heartwarming and funny.
  • VLOGMAS- I love watching all the vlogmas videos each year from my favourite youtubers. Mainly Zoella and Ingrid Nilsen. I love their beauty and fashion advice, and how real they are on and off camera. They inspire me quite a lot and give me lots of ideas for Christmas.
  • Songs and Albums- This year I have been loving certain songs, and my favourite being Taylor Swifts new song Blank Space. (may have small obsession with the song). I also have been listening to Lily Allen's rendition of 'somewhere only we know' from last years John Lewis advert. AMAZING!!!!
Everything else
  • Christmas shopping- This year I have already done all of my Christmas shopping, and even wrapped it all. I love shopping in general, and Christmas shopping is definitely fun but also can be super hard, especially when it comes to shopping for the men. I did get stuck but managed to find a few great things.
  • FAMILY TIME- I love spending time with my family, especially as I no longer live at home. Having all fun and games. This year for Christmas I am going to Ben's family house for Christmas which will be great, as they are so welcoming, so kind. I am so thankful that they are taking me in, especially as i can't get to my family for Christmas.
  • Christmas Pj's- Each year I get super excited for Christmas, and on Christmas eve I get clean pj's out, and get super excited planning what I am going to wear for Christmas morning. This years idea is an exciting one.... watch out for a very excited tweet and photo of this years choice. (Follow here)
  • Woolly socks and Hot water bottles- I love wearing my big dark red woolly socks over my leggings, and having my hot water bottle with me to cuddle on colder nights, especially as my room at uni is very cold.
Hope you enjoyed my favourites, what are yours, comment below.
Until next time...

Thanksgiving and Winter Wonderland

This weekend I have been very busy and travelling a lot. I went to a a thanksgiving meal on Saturday after work, at Ben's parents house which was soo lovely and an amazing time just having a great time as a practice round for Christmas with everyone there. I had the best time ever with people who have been there for me.
I am very thankful for the time I had with them and everything they have done for me over this past year. I ate a lot and I don't think i'll have to eat for at least another couple of days.

On Sunday Me and Ben went into a very hectic London and experienced Winter wonderland. It was very very busy, we got there about 3-4 o'clock, and there was already a very massive bundle of people waiting to go in. After about 10 minutes we were let in and we could walk around. There was a lot to see, mainly through all the gaps in between the people. There were stalls selling food, gifts, beer and tokens for the rides and fair ground things that were available. We didn't go on any of them as we basically didn't have much money between us. Instead we just walked around and Ben got me some ginger bread and i bought him a waffle. (The ginger bread was amazing, and I ate the rest today).

Overall it was a fantastic weekend surrounded by lovely people.
