August Favourites

August has been a one of a kind month, where I have spent most of it, watching loads of it sitting around watching TV.

I have had lots of favourites for this month so lets start.

Music

  • Charlie Simpson's new album ' Long Road Home' - I have loved this album it is full of pick me up songs as well as songs to get me through those rainy days coming up.
TV shows
  • Suits- This TV show is awesome. Me and Ben first started watching it after Grimm had finished its newest series, we found this show as I had heard it was good, I think from Jim Chapman. Anyway, we love the plot lines, and the intrigue it gives us. I absolutely love shows like this.
  • Nurse Jackie- I saw this show on Netflix after remembering hearing my sister talking about it. It definitely has fulfilled my Medical drama fix, which I used to get from House. I follows sort of the same story where the main character has a drug addiction, and has to cope with keeping the habit, family and her affair. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loved House.
Food
  • Dark Chocolate- I have found the wonder that is the dark chocolate. It is the greatest thing as it contains next to no milk, and you only need the tiniest bit to fulfill the chocolate craving. Never ending chocolate supply. As I shouldn't really be having a lot of sugar and milk, dark chocolate definitely solved my problems on that front.
That's it for these favourites, but i'm sure September will be full of favourites.

Running Between Raindrops

Over the bank holiday weekend I went to Greenbelt with my family and Ben, and it literally was like running between the raindrops, mainly on the Monday.
I liked the move from Cheltenham racecourse to Boughton House. It gave the festival a bit more of a community feel, and a proper festi-feel.

Ben really enjoyed his time, although he did say 'not every year' I do agree with his feelings as it was a big change, and I am at the part of my life where I don't have to make strong commitments to going to a certain festival every year.

Saying that, this year was like no other with lots of stages with speakers, and music. I was slightly let down with the amount of comedy, and performance arts, but then again the festival had downsized with the move to a green site.

Overall I had a really lovely time with my family and boyfriend, my favourite thing being Folk On (an utterly amazing comedy folk band).

*sorry it's a short post, but I have been super busy getting ready for my second year at university, possible posts to come with.  However here are some pretty pictures.
